Electrode Paste
Product Introduction:
Electrode paste finds widespread application in ferroalloy production (such as ferrosilicon, silicon manganese, ferrochrome, ferro nickel) and as self-baking electrodes for calcium carbide furnaces. Its primary function is to supply electric energy to electric furnaces during smelting operations. This paste offers the advantages of low cost and easy usability, making it a preferred choice in various industrial processes.
Application:
Carbon electrode paste serves as self-baking electrodes in submerged arc furnaces. Comprising ECA (Electrically Calcined Anthracite), CPC (Calcined Petroleum Coke), and graphite powder bound together with coal tar pitch, it is molded into shape before use. The paste is introduced into the electrode casing from the top, where it undergoes baking to form an electrode. The resulting electrode conducts electricity, facilitating heat generation in the furnace via the electrode peak.
Product Characteristics:
Lower ash content for improved performance.
Accurate dosing and stable volatile content ensure consistent quality.
Exhibits good electric and thermal conductivity, with sintering speed appropriate to working end consumption.
Facilitates smelting at lower temperatures with appropriate fluidity and homogeneous composition.
Demonstrates high resistance to high temperatures, oxidation, and thermal shock, with low resistivity and high mechanical strength post-sintering.
